Quarter Final Material?

Main Incidents

1st min: Penalty against Italy for holding, Good call. 2nd min: 1 - 0 Hungary score from the spot, well taken penalty. Half Time: Refereeing team change kits from Yellow to Black and Orange, due to the Hungarian keeper being in Yellow from the start! 71th min: An Italian defender sees red, 2nd yellow card, holding. Soft. 82th min: Italy score. 1-1. 84th min: Another Italian player is sent off for SFP . Harsh - but the player was already on yellow, so he would have walked anyway... 90th min: A Hungarian player is sent off for nothing. Ruiz spotted an elbow, which nobody else spotted...both coaches dismissed to - very poor. 112th min: Hungary score. 1-2. 113th min: Italy score. 2-2. 115th min: The red card in the air again: Another Italian player sees his 2nd yellow card for holding, a good call - but again, picky though. 117th min: Hungary score. 2-3. 121th min: Final whistle.

Kit Change...

When your a FIFA referee, you get given many kits for FIFA tournaments. Allot of coloured kits, thanks to Adidas. Yellow, blue, black with orange, orange more! Why then - when a keeper is wearing yellow, would you wear yellow yourself? The referee must have known this before the game...poor organisation.

FIFA politics?

Lets face it, the biggest matches are in Europe at the moment with the champions league and UEFA cup. I have nothing against the other continents, but when you have Frank de Bleeckere, Olegario Benquerença, Roberto Rosetti and Alberto Undiano Mallenco, who are refereeing the biggest games in the world at the moment, why should they not get the best games? Just because they are all in the same continent? IMO - Oscar Ruiz has fallen foul to FIFA politics...
