The game wasn´t difficult for Ruiz because there weren´t big disputes about his decisions, and no doubtful actions inside the areas. The Colombian referee, almost everything well located in the field, looked secure. Sometimes he looked even more calm than what was needed; perhaps there were some actions where he should have used the cards and he prefered not to do it. But when he booked, he did it correctly. I noticed a couple of mistakes: the most important, one free-kick he conceded to Chile in the area borderline after a nonexistent foul. It could have been dangerous for Argentina, but nothing happened.
Chile did a good job and clearly was the fair winner (the last time they had beaten Argentina was in 1973). Argentina, full of "stars", didn´t show any new idea and played an awful game. After the match, coach Alfio Basile resigned.
