The match itself

The first half, the first 20 minutes at least the Russians kept up with the Spanish quite nicely. Russia showed nice and attractive play and gave the Spanish plenty to do, but in the end the sublime Spanish forwards were to much to handle for the Russians. A pity for the Russians and their Dutch coach Guus Hiddink. Tactically the Russians were by no means the lesser team.
