Glasgow Rangers 2 - 0 Werder Bremen
UEFA Cup 2007 - 2008 round of 16 · 2008-03-06 Referee: Alain Hamer

I saw Plautz, Vassaras and Webb; Hamer seems a referee who knows what his job is. The whole game he was invisible, the opposite of Vassaras. He was far away from the ball but he saw everything, the opposite of Plautz. And he didn't make any big mistakes, like Webb did. In a great atmosphere on Ibrox, Hamer was in perfect shape, but he also made some minor mistake , almost all of them were handball, and he should have shown one more yellow also for handball. He was allways right with advantage and other decisions. The same goes for his assistants.

After

Many goal keepers make silly mistakes but what Wise did, was incredible. His reaction was as if you were watching in slow motion, and the goal of Rangers striker Cousin was from the category "believe or not". The match was quite boring with little action and good moves so that was easy to conclude why these teams play in the UEFA cup.
