I counted at least four bookable offences before Hamer finally showed a yellow card in the 77th minute. Sure, leaving the players to themselves, keeping the pace, a little rough play, it's all very well, but if a ref doesn't book, it can get out of hand. It can, but it didn't in this match. Hamer is an experienced top referee so when he doesn't book, you rewind and watch it again. Maybe he was right, maybe he has a plan, maybe maybe. Maybe he just didn't see it, maybe has has no plan at all. With Hamer you don't know.

Both Fenerbahce and PSV have not very good teams, average at the most, but the difference is that the former has one or two clever palyers and the latter one or two really dumb ones. The dumbest must be Dirk Marcellis, veteran of already three CL matches, who got sent off in his first, got booked and almost booked again in his second and who scored an own goal in his third match. A great player to have in the other team.

Koeman

Coach Ronald Koeman left PSV because he knew PSV was going to lose their next three matches and will be kicked out of the Champions League. Never back a losing team. So he went to Valencia and lost his next match and got kicked out of the Champions League.
