The Final

average

Good about Fandel was that he showed that there would be no way he would tolerate any diving or trickery. Inzaghi only once held his face to show the world he had been hit but Fandel didn't even acknoledge it. Average was almost everything else he did. Not bad at all, but also not really very good. Not so good was the distance he sometimes kept. Maybe he has bionic eyes, or thinks he does, or maybe he trusts his assistents a bit too much. They could have flagged a little less often. Again he booked a player for protesting, he always does that.

nothing

Two, maybe three corner shots each, was this really the final of the Champions League? Nothing much happened and when nothing much happens, the Berlusconi Boys win.

77th

So you are 1-0 behind in a final, your only forward has to fight his way through the midfield all the time and when he does, there is no one to pass the ball to. What would you do? Benites waited till the 77th minute to substite a defender for his (best?) forward Crouch. Only then did Liverpool score a goal, way too late. Liverpool lost because of Benites.
