Maillet

As usual he likes to whistle, in some moments he reminded me of Mike Riley and all that whistling wasn't necessary in this match. Maybe in Africa referees have a different valuation of fouls, but on this WC we didn't see much rough play, so to award fouls for every minor contact is just irritating. For instance, because he didn't give advantage he showed a yellow card for a minor foul. As I mentioned in my first report, Maillet is very fit But his running was sometimes unnecessary: Like running to the place where a foul was committed. In other he was much better then in his first match, but his Tunisian assistant again made one mistake when Paraguay scored their second goal one player was in offside. Little offside and difficult for assistant to valuate but still mistake.

Match

Probably the worst match on this WC, so boring that I even dozed in the second half. Paraguay is a much better team and they played excellently in deference. The Slovaks shot on target a few times which usually finished miles from the goal, and the Paraguay goalkeeper needed only to react once and that was in stoppage time. So how did they made it to this WC?
