Our Brazilian reporter Maya is right: there are differences between American/South American referees and Europeans. The difference is for instance in the cards: see how easily Rodriguez showed a red to Cahill. Sure, it was a tackle from behind but not a really bad one, as we Europeans would say. But if you allow that kind of stuff in a match between, say, Nicaragua and Honduras the match will end in bloodshed, in fans pulling shotguns shooting each other across the stands. So in his way Pastor Marco was right. As a European I think he wasn't, but only with that red card and with the yellow for Cacao (Cacao?).
