Lyon 0 - 3 Bayern Munich
Champions League 2009-2010 1/2 finals · 2010-04-27 Referee: Massimo Busacca

controversy

..

It started with a blatant dive by Lisandro, Busacca fell for it. I'm going to use the footage for my course: you really see Lisandro jump in the air and fall, there was no contact at all.
Lisandro, him again, kicked Van Buyten on the very leg where he has an injury, no card. A ref should know these things just like Lisandro knew. In fact it was a mean kick after the fact.
Gonalons got yellow when Van Bommel walked straight into him on purpose. Van Bommel ran towards the Frenchman, he did not follow the ball and knew exactly what he was doing. I know Van Bommel, he never does anything by accident. Busacca should know him too.
Altintop got a yellow for not doing anything much, probably a card to level the other one. Refs shouldn't do that.
Cris got a yellow for kicking away the ball after Busacca had seen a foul that wasn't, then he got another one for clapping ironically. Yes, Busacca may have been right here, those are the rules, but still, he didn't really have to, he is Busacca. And Cris had a point.
It was actually an easy match, Busacca didn't have much to do. Sure, he did all those referee things well, the running, the pointing, the whistling, the being the boss, the whatever, but only 23 fouls and so many wrong calls.....
And his assistant was wrong about a very important off-side.

match

Beats me what Lyon's plan was.
