Skomina and friends

Had some mistakes today, but the biggest problem was the pressure that he felt in a full Velodrome Stadium. Skomina had some calls mistakes, marking some phantom calls and forgetting others that were evident. However the biggest mistakes were the two penalties not spotted for Benfica, one was clear and all the responsibility of Skomina. The other situation was more difficult to judge by Skomina, but the goal refs, Ceferin (a premier UEFA ref) and the linesman had a perfect view.

Final minutes

Normally in all knock-out games the pressure is in the final moments. This game was no exception with a lot of tough fouls. Skomina was a bit lost but in the end he took his boat to a safe port.

Overall a good game with both teams fighting to go to the next round. In the end Benfica was the best team and deserves the spot in the quarter-finals.
