A dull game...

Some things

Pedro Proenca wasn't as good as I have seen him this year. He gave a strange freekick to Robben for nothing (16'), his assistant missed an offside position before Robben stumbled and fell with Neuer in the German goal already beaten (30') and he let go quite a lot of things in midfield. He could have booked de Jong for a tackling after 33 minutes and if he didn't then, he needed to do so at the very lastest for a second tackling from behind by him (63''). He could have booked for dissent a few times, but was cool and kept his cards in his pocket.

Good manner

Proenca had a good manner and great experience. His assistants got the major offside decisions correct and so the match was a piece of cake for him. I felt that he got slightly bored in the second half - it is also quite difficult to keep the concentration when so little is happening on the pitch. I didn't see which German player got booked so this might be a mistake. I'm happy that he didn't give a soft penalty, so a rather average performance in a poor game.
