It was the tv director showing us the things going on in the penalty area: a large guy holding a smaller one by an arm around his neck, someone pulling a shirt, things Atkinson and his mates should have seen and should have done something about. Not immediatly with a penalty, but at least with a warning.
AZ have a really weird goalie, does he really play for his national team? And the Standard goalie was the one scoring with a header in the last second.
Atkinson does not seem to be a ref who knows how to handle a match when it goes awry. When for instance more then one bad foul is committed at almost the same time. Then one challenge goes punished and the others don't, and the one punished is not always the worst one. Two or three Standard players got away with it at the end of the match.
After about 5 minutes it was clear which team were going to win: Standard were better, more confident, the home team, better players, better organized. But Standard slowly lost it. AZ scored and were in control. Until the last minute.
And what about AZ? Last year they were top of the world in Holland, then they lost their owner (and his money) and last week the new coach Koeman was kicked out, after 5 months or so. Was this the first time a team appeared in the Champions League with neither sponsor nor a coach?
