Eriksson managed a reasonable performance, and did not offend anyone too badly. However, his foul detection and the application of advantage were sometimes questionable. I would have given a penalty in the 68th minute when Deco was floored, but the incident was off the ball and a 55/45 appeal, so I fully understand why there was no spot kick. The cards were deserved, perhaps he could have booked a few more at the end when the challenges became very clumsy. But after the final whistle, the players and Eriksson were smiling; what more can you ask of the ref?
