First about the match: I don't understand anything about Zagreb. They never tried to win. A couple of disgusting useless fouls left them with 9 players on the field. Ajax had about 20 corners and 30 opportunities to score, but they've forgotten a longtime ago how to do that.
Dean didn't have any opportunity not to award red cards for the useless fouls committed right under his nose. All together he tried his best to keep the ball rolling, he was mostly well positioned for the action on the field, actually he had often the best eyes on the ball. It was the best performance of an English ref I've seen in a long time.
