Benito Archundia was so bored he invented a private little game: he seemed set on bringing down the average of yellows and reds in this tournament. He booked only one player, Barnetta, for a push (min. 58).
He was helped of course by the slowness of the game - a fine example of this: he had to blow his whistle for offside only once - but he was also too lenient in cases. There were some particularly bad challenges - one might even have deserved red - and some hands play that went by unnoticed. On two occasions he could and probably should have given a penalty.
