Some referees defend their style with many cautions, Olegario is one of those referees. He is good when everything runs smoothly, but when things go wrong for him we see a lot of mess on the field and outside.
Both of these teams lack tactical discipline and sometimes even mental, for wrong moves on the field they seek excuses with the referee, the other team, with other players but they themselfs are never guilty. Benquerenca is not to blame for those things. Maybe if he had a different style, like Bussaca maybe, everything would look easier, but you can trust him. The atmosphere of the match was very hot and Olegario tried his best but he didn't succeed totally to control match. Most of his decisions were right, even the most dubious, when Bosnia scored. Because of protests against that decision, he sent off the Turkish coach and he was right in both. Firstly that was a foul on a Bosnian player and secondly when the coach behaved unsportively. During another part of the match Olegario defended some of his decisions with yellow cards, but his criteria were not same from the beginning till the end. If it had been, several players had to be sent off. Most of the cards were shown for unsportive behaviour, and I like to see referees punish that kind of behaviour. So Benqerenca looks ok, his assistants though have to go back for lesssons. Law number eleven: Offside. So many wrong decisions on both side, he needs to change his assistants.
Good for football fans, but not for coaches. So many chances, misses, wrong passes, so maybe a 5-5 result was right if the goalkeepers did not have their day.
