In two years time he made a progress to Premier Development class referee, and I was convinced that he wouldn't have a problem with this match. How wrong was I! When a referee has a bad match, I always hope it was just one bad match, I try to analyze where bad things started, and the answer is always the same: preparation. Dinamo and Red Bull have Czechs in their teams so communication with players in this situation was easy, but not for Kralovec. His lack of communication skills on the field had influence on the players and made them behave unsportively in every way. Next to the bad communication, his movements on the field were like those of a beginner. The ball hit him four times and many times he ran into players, what on this level is inadmissible. There was also a lack of authority. And he made many mistakes.
With that much whistling I had a feeling being on a railway station, not a football field. Anyway, those were just minor mistakes, but so with so many yellows, most of them for unsportive behaviour, even he had to give some more for hard tackles.
When Salzburg scored, first a Salzburg player committed two fouls on a Dinamo player but neither assistant nor Kralovec saw anything. He also missed two fouls on the edge of the box for Dinamo and one for Salzburg. In the second half he missed so clear penalty for Dinamo when the goalkeeper almost knocked out a Dinamo player, but Kralovec again was blind and he was far way from the action. He just showed yellow for protesting because a player showed the blood on his lip.
In last minute he gave second yellow for Dinamo player because he keep ball in his arms what was reasonable but Salzburg player hit him in neck and his back and he also deserved red but he just got caution. And then show
Almost all players had to say something on that decision and the supporters also. Sure, I would expect that reaction in my country but not in Austria. They throw so many plastic bottles on the field, some of those hit players and one hit an assistant referee and blood was on his face. Kralovec instead of canceling the match just ended even though stoppage time hadn't passed.
Dinamo was better but who cares about football in this situation.. maybe UEFA...
