He showed yellow to Srna because he dived and tried to get a penalty, but Hauge didn't fall for that trick. Srna is a player who always dives and referees now know that, so Hauge was right and for protesting he could have shown some more cautions. His assistants were good and here the good things stop.
From the beginning of the match, Hauge's valuation of fouls were inconsistent. He saw many which were not, he missed some by both sides and Hauge doesn't seem to know what advantage means. He showed six yellow cards, but he missed a couple of to others for unsportive behaviour (elbows, touching the ball after the game had been stopped, obstruction of the match...). His body language doesn't show who the boss is on the field, and his positioning was not impressive but that is in connection with his lack of fitness.
My fellow countrymen should be happy, because Hauge missed a clear penalty for the Ukraine in the first half when Simunic brought down Milevskiy. Hauge had no good position to see that incident.
In the second half he missed to send off Ukraine sider Mandzyuk for two dangerous fouls, he got just a yellow.
With this point the Ukraine is much closer to win the second place and a play-off for the World Cup. Croatia played very badly, especially in the first half, and now they have to win all matches of the qualification, including against England on Wembley. Once they made it but a second time...
