Unsteady Ivanov

During a scrimmage between Lazovic and Arbeloa, Lazovic fell on the ball. Arbeloa kicked Lazovic, Lazovic started screaming. Players of both teams became angry and started to push; referee Ivanov got confused. He decided to book players of both teams: Arbeloa and Simons. Simons? Everybody expected Lazovic to get booked, Simons was too far away from the action. Ivanov was still confused, Simons was wearing No.6 and Lazovic No.9, Ivanov booked the wrong player.

In the second minute of the-one-minute stoppage time before the break, there was an unclear foul and Liverpool got a free kick. The player taking the free kick tried to fool the ref by stealing extra meters for his free kick. The ref objected, the ball had to be moved back. The player delayed the game. The ref got angry, the ball had to be moved back. The player decided to move the ball back a couple of meters..., but just for a second. When the ref looked around, the ball was set back at its original spot. The player had a five meter advantage and from this free kick Liverpool scored. By then it was almost the third minute in extra time...

The second half was a routine job for Liverpool. PSV never recovered from the first goal. In consequence big money won again and PSV was knocked out from the Champions League, not even reaching the UEFA Cup
