no other reason I could think of when Amrabat (PSV) didn't get booked in the 3rd minute than: it's only the third minute. Fandel would have booked him, but Brych didn't. Let's see what happens later on, what kind of match it will be. Well it was a fair match, but Amrabat fouled again and again, hurting different players and if he'd been warned immediately (Brych didn't even look angry at him) he may have been a little more careful. When later on in the match Babel (Liverpool) was in pain after another Amrabat struggle, you could argue it was Brych's doing.
Salcido (PSV) should have been booked and Amrabat again. Liverpool players are all well behaving gentleman, but with a Portuguese team this would have gone wrong. But, you could say, with a Portuguese team, Brych (the match reader) would have judged differently. Sure, he is a good referee, but I prefer the Fandel way. It's more honest and there is never dissent, because dissenting is of no use.
In the next round of the Champions League we won't have to sit through matches with teams like PSV anymore. PSV won't even make it to the UEFA Cup.
