Maybe the players did their best as well to make this match a pleasant one. A situation near the end of the first half suggested this. The situation itself wasn't quite clear because of the bad coverage. Anyway it looked like Cacak defender Dmitrovic might have lightly struck Ajax forward Suarez on the back of the head by kind of wildly flinging his arms about in the air trying to keep himself from toppling over. Sukhina missed the entire thing and his assistant had to point the fact out to him. Sukhina got Dmitrovic and Suarez together and said some stern words and left it at that. Even when Suarez shrugged off Sukhina's conciliatory 'neck paw' in a rather aggressive way. In my opinion Stanislav should have been right on top of this unsporting reaction. Instead he let it go and this could have gotten him into trouble.

Another little thing

And there was another little thing. The second Ajax goal was scored when one Cacak player was down in Ajax's area. It was probably the right decision to wave play on, yet it was quite clear to me the Cacak players were a bit confused by the fact and might have defended more adroitly otherwise.

All in all

Stanislav Sukhina did well here.
