My guess is he wanted to warn the players with an early yellow card. That will teach em! But it didn't. Once shown a card for not so bad a foul and you'll have to go on showing them. And Skomina ended up showing 13 cards. Baning was sent off, probably because he was asking for it. There were a lot of cards I didn't agree with, but there were a lot of fouls and at times the match could turn nasty. I don't know, maybe Skomina manged to keep it relatively quiet. Maybe he was part of the problem.
Baning got his second booking he yelled at Skomina. I wonder what the Slovenian referee will do about it. You can't send off someone twice.
are getting better at showing us football matches. More cameras and more repeats (still not enough) At first it seemed they had only the use of two cameras and both operators had no idea who just scored or who just committed a foul and they kept highlighting the wrong players. They'll learn.
Skomina has his assistants really assist him. Not only does he listen to them but he lets them organize free kicks while he watches over the pushing and pulling in the box.
