Too hot for Ivanov

Hard to understand

In the first half Ivanov forgot to give the French a penalty when Zidane shot clearly at a defenders arm. The heat took a lot of Ivanov's concentration when Ivanov booked Magnin for a foul on Henry, but not giving a free kick. There was also a very childish booking for Swiss player Streller. It took me three replays and I still did not understand why.

Buzzing beatles

In the second half Swiss player Degen was booked after Zidane committed a foul on Degen. Later on Ivanov tried to level his incomprehensibility by booking Zidane for no reason at all. Ivanov must have had a bunch of buzzing beatles in his head.

Amusing

All together the match was quite amusing. The Swiss had two very good opportunities. The French stars far away from their winning 1998 world cup shape, they were still the better team and deserved to win.
