Alert and - as I mentioned - relaxed. Decisive and not childish, he saw what kind of match it was going to be and acted accordingly. He warned players (in stead of booking) knowing that would be enough and was quick to stop a fight. Lannoy listens to his assistants.
He missed a few things, booked PSV-sider Farfan for nothing, fell for a dive or two. Later on in the match he seemed to have developed a dislike for Berbatov, the only really good Tottenham sider. Berbatov couldn't do anything anymore without Lannoy seeing a foul.
And - it would have ruined Tottenham's chances - but Chimbonda should have been sent off with a second yellow for attacking with his legs stretched.
So, not brilliant, but relaxed and convincing.
