Ghana 0 - 1 Cameroon

One Song doesn't make a great match

change of style

Was that change of style on purpose? It meant that Ghana got more chances, because less free kicks meant less shots way past or over the goal. It also meat a goal for Cameroon, that needed only one well executed counter-attack to win the match.
El Arjoun, by not doing anything for a while, helped the match, but I'm not sure if he was right. There was only one booking (the great Song for being angry at El Arjoun) and Bikey was sent off for pushing away a medical stewart - how stupid can you be.... But the Moroccan referee should have booked Dramani and could have booked Essien.

match

In the 56th minute Muntari played a long cross over more than half the length of the field. The ball got exactly to the place where Dramani was running. This was the only good long pass in the whole match. Of course Dramani lost the ball immediately.
A few good players don't make a good match. Cameroon sider Song was the only really very good player, without him they would have lost.

the president, cigarettes and sex

this is from the Ghanaian Chronicle:

Black Stars coach, Claude Le Roy, and his leading players yesterday gave President J.A. Kufuor a firm assurance that they would beat the Indomitable Lions of Cameroun tomorrow and eventually win the Africa Cup of Nations for a record-equalling fifth time.

The senior coach of the Cameroonian national team, Oto Pfister, has been accused of setting a bad example for the youth of this country and the football community at large. Coach Oto Pfister was seen smoking at the Baba Yara Sport Stadium in Kumasi when his side was playing against the Zambian national team.

UEFA licensed coach, Nana Agyeman, has cautioned the players of the National team, the Black Stars, not to engage in any sexual conduct (or misconduct), as that could have a toll on them and affect their performance in subsequent matches.
