McDonald

He made too many calls, he almost never gave the advantage, but all in all he was solid. Douglas awarded one penalty in extra-time for HSV. He could have awarded one more for a handball in the HSV box also in extra-time. McDonald was talking too much with the players which is typical of English refs. To make a fuzz over every little contact like McDonald did here, is not so typical. In the end it came to 48 fouls in a match that wasn't at all rough. His assistants made too many mistakes, they misjudged four off-sides out of five.

Match

HSV played much better then Dinamo , but they all were happy with a draw... except for De Jong who scored three minutes before the end of the match and in extra-time HSV scored the second. HSV with this result is on to next round and Dinamo need a miracle in Rennes.
