The Georgian referee did a good job convincingly. He must have seen a fight or two in his days taking charge of matches in the intertoto and in his home country, so when AZ sider Kew Jaliens fell down pretending to be headbutted, Paniashvili waved it off.
The Georgian seems to be fooled sometimes when a player makes good performance of his dive. One wonders what will happen if the dive takes place in the penalty box. It is worth a try.

Not very good. Larissa pushed the home team back all the time by keeping AZ's main players at bay. But after an hour or so they must have gotten tired and AZ scored.
It was a hard match to watch for people with a small television screen since AZ played in red on white and Larissa in white on red.
