This was going to be, apparently, a great game. Two goals during the initial 7 minutes, no hard fouls, and two teams interested in getting their best result. Farina enjoyed this situation, but then he started to fail. Mistakes such as conceding non-existent faults, but the players started to get nervous and also Frank Rikjaard, who was sent-off after inappropriately shouting to Farina. I don´t know why Rikjaard protested, because the Italian didn´t seem to be refereeing in Lyon´s way.
Later, Stefano conceded 2 penalties, one to each one. The first one was invented by Messi, who was legally displaced by Squillaci, and Farina bought his theatrical movement. After that, maybe supposing his own mistake, Farina showed 3 cards to Barça players in only 3 minutes. The other penalty was an awkward action were Touré tripped a French player. Here, the referee decided well.
Farina was disconcerting not only because of his calls, but also his attitude. He looked very angry at the beginning, but just a moment later he was laughing there... Well, It wasn´t too bad. But this was not a nice job.
