The 1st half was OK, referee showed only 1 or 2 yellows, both correctly. The problem came at 25´, when assistant Walter Rial flagged for calling Larrionda´s attention. He told the referee that Carlos Tevez had kicked Bustos with the ball very far away... Of course, Larrionda showed Tevez a direct red. With the TV we could see what had happened: the Argentinian kicked Bustos, yes, but before that, Bustos had tried to trip Tevez (after the match, he recogniced that it had been intentionally done). Why did Rial see only one agression, and not both of them? Maybe the Colombian bench location - only 2 mts behind the lineman - explains this. Bustos should have been also sent off.
At the beginning of the 2nd half, Colombia played much better than before and they got the draw. The stadium was shouting here as if they had scored in a World Cup final... Well, but they seemed to be happy with the 1-1, so later they systematically cut with faults every Argentinian attack. Larrionda showed one or two yellows, but more were needed here.
Argentinians complaint about 2nd goal of the Coffee Men. They said that there had been a "clear off-side" when that play started. Well... it was a very difficult one: to the human-eye, it was a clear off-side. But TV showed that Colombian player was in a legal position. So, has Rial a TV inside his head or should we think that in case of doubt, the local team wins? However, this one was a clear wisdom.
