In a potential fierce match Lubos Michel kept the match going, controlling the match with a simple nod, a straight call and correct bookings. In a field with tricked actors, he made no incorrect judgments. He made very good decisions to keep the pace of the match going. He didn't grant any time to the protests of neglected tumbling actors. It didn't take more than 15 minutes before every player knew it was useless to trick Michel.
A very solid performance. I only noticed one mistake: a linesman (or assistant referee as they are called these days) missed a clear corner for Olympiakos. Michel had to trust his assistant and did not overrule him. We need more Lubos Michels!
