I guess referee Riley saw someone push or get pushed and whistled before Melchiot scored. But was he right? Why did the English ref whistle so often? Aren't the English supposed to like a little rough play? Was he nervous? Riley seemed to whistle for every little thing, even when he could have given the advantage.
He was right with the cards though, the yellows and the red.
Me and my friends were not checked at all at the stadium. No wonder Melchiot (he again) almost got hit by a fire cracker. It was not a very exciting match, the Albanias were a little bit better in the first half, but The Netherlands won by a goal in the 91st minute. By Dutch striker Van Nistleroj as he was called in a paper here in Tirana (apparantly the Dutch also have a player called Shjnejdar and one called Sederof).
