Style

Grance doesn´t like talking with players. He looks too serious and cranky. This could be a problem because they often don´t know what´s being called by this referee. Refs are not expected to talk during the 90 minutes, but they have to explain their decisions.

Mistakes

At the beginning Grance was refereeing well. His calls were OK and he used the cards correctly. But later he failed. His biggest mistake was invalidating a legal goal by Cienciano, when Vasallo scored and Grance whistled indicating a non-existent off-side. Before that, he should have conceded a penalty to Flamengo, because a Cienciano defender had intentionally touched the ball with his right hand inside his own area. Grance just said "go on". In spite of this, during the 2nd half every doubtful call - including that one off-side - were conceded to Flamengo.
