Big discussion point: Foul on Ronaldo or not. I still think, play on is understandable when you see the incident in real time. With hindsight, I would rather whistle for a free-kick. I don't see a yellow card as mandatory. You cannot judge the scene coming from the outcome (e.g. Ronaldo needing to be substituted.
Clattenburg was not consistant in everything what he did. There were minor flaws which is unusual for the other matches I had seen from him. One big shot where he decided the other way around which could have influenced the outcome (freekick). He was not as present and sharp as I wished him to be, but this is whining on the top level.
European refereeing was good at this Euro in my opinion. It was on the whole consistant, the matches were well-directed and the refs had more a grip on them than at the WC 2014 where FIFA had weakened their position considerably with the no-card-policy. My ranking: 1. Clattenburg, 2. Rizzoli, 3. Kassai
