Mr. Garcia Orozco had a very good start, which animated his game throughout. He booked rightly and correctly two players, one of each team, in the first nine minutes, for reckless fouls, which calmed down what could have been a brutal encounter, as players started it with no respect to each other's shins. Thus, the ref. could have a long respite, without recourse to yellow cards for the next 60 minutes. He also started well with the application of the advantage rule (6'), but a minute later (7'), unfortunately, he made a hush of it. His style of running is kind of awkward, but he kept well with the high pace of the first half till the 40th minute. Then it felt as if he got a bit tired. In the second half, the players made it easier to be followed. The period 76'-81' was also a period of decline, as the ref. was too eager to favour both defences, but in the last ten minutes he reasserted himself, to finish on a high. His ars were two experienced ones, generally assisting well, though ar1 (Mr. Camargo) made a gross mistake in the dying minutes of the game (90'). He adjudged (Pereira, Uruguay) offside, though he got the ball from a Paraguay player who wasn't challenged by any opponent, and the ar had a clear sight of him. Being dazzled is no excuse, as the sun was behind Mr. Camargo. Just a lapse of concentation... No qualms of this kind about Mr. Torrentera, ar 2.
