Zidan

maybe

Maybe all those cards (7) weren't such a bad idea, most times Kuipers was right. As soon as a ref shows a card for a not very bad foul, he will end up booking a lot. Actually, Hamburg sider De Jong should have been sent off, for kicking a player in the face while he (De Jong) was lying on the ground. Kuipers didn't see it, or maybe he did - these two know each other from the Dutch competition.... Maybe, maybe.

but

But apart from all those cards for minor offences, Kuipers did well, at least he showed them to both sides. Actually, both teams played fair (except for De Jong, who is a bit of a hothead), Kuipers had no problems and everybody shook hands afterwards. I wish they had put up more of a fight. Maybe De Jong wanted to give an example: come on guys, lets start kicking people! maybe finally something will happen.

the match

A match with players with names like Zidan and Diego sounds like a film I once saw with a Scott De Niro in it, or like brands they have in Asia called Sonny and Panafonic. It's just not the real thing, in fact it's not even near the real thing. And I know that two matches generate more money than just one, but can we - the audience - say something? We don't want to see matches like this one. We are almost certain that the whole competition would be much better and exciting without return matches. Even this match, even if they let Zidan and Diego play.
