There probably wasn't much in the match before the penalty. Faghani was close to the action, and pointed to the spot right away. Everyone kind of agreed with the call, because even the players from the Qatari side did not argue either.

Assisstants

His assistants were good again, but I would like to see the World Cup Assistant Referee -Kamranifar- get more international assignments.

Future

Faghani is about 4 years younger than Torky but for some reason, the Iranian Referee Committee likes Torky better. Oh well, they are only hurting their own referees.
