Again Proenca needs a lot of time writing things in his book, putting his book back in his pocket, and then there is that card he had to show and he has to write something on the back of that card as well (number of the player). And all that time the irritation grows.
Proenca is close to the action and he personally needs to put the wall on the right spot, pointing the players where to stand, watching closely to see if they're standing in a straight line, in an exact straight line.
Some refs need only to nod or shake their heads a little, Pedro Proenca needs more than that. A talking to, a lot of pointing and gesticulating and when that doesn't work he yells at the players. And off course the players yell back at him. One raised his arm in a fuck-you gesture.
Sure, a referee on this level is not bad, Proenca does not make big mistakes, is impartial to a fault etc. But the chaotic impression was his doing.
