Still good apart from one situation

Niger-Tunisia

Niger were better, Tunisia only sometimes came to goal opportunities and they did not find too many measures to break Niger's defense. Niger were brave but did not get their reward in the end. Unfortunately, Tunisia scored a late 2-1, as Gabon also beat Morocco, this group is already decided which naturally steals a lot of tension.

Sikazwe's calls

His card policy, communication and style were very good. His foul detection was however only decent. There were some strange decisions where actually the other player was fouled. He mixed it a bit up. But finally, there were two bigger decisions to make which were good: in minute 9', when Niger equalized, it seemed to be handball. The striker tried to play the ball with his hand, the goalkeeper was irritated by this. However, the striker did not touch the ball with his hand. That was my impression after the common, normal replays. See the last paragraph however.. In the early stages of the 2nd half, there was a difficult call in Tunisia's box: Maâzou fell in a duel with Haggui. One can discuss about it, but the decision not to award a penalty seemed to be the right one. Then there was another situation: Karim Haggui committed a foul similar to Nigel de Jong's in the WC final, perhaps not in the same pace, but in general, it equated that. He issued a yellow card, we have to say, it was dark yellow. Some red sports on it for sure.

Assistant Referees' performance

4th Official: Néant Alioum. The assistant referee 1 came from Eritrea, Angesom Ogbamariam showed again an extremely good performance. The assistant referee 2 Balkrishna Bootun from Mauritius had perhaps 4 offside decisions to make, two of them were wrong, one was even a heavy mistake (it was onside for 2 metres).
