In this evening, Besiktas and Stoke players were very frustrated and nervous. Many protests, things thrown from the stands - Marcin Borski had to deal with all these accidents. It was a very hard job, that the Polish team did well. Self-confidence and a rigorous approach were a key for this game. Excellent warnings, excellent yellow card for Fuller, who fouled an opponents about five times within a few minutes, excellent control Mr Borski.

Penalty

The penalty kick for Besiktas is an obvious call, but whether the red card is adequate for this situation? In my opinion, it is 50%-50% call. Red card was 100% rule book, yellow card would be 100% play-feeling. Both variants are good but the second one (with yellow card only) would be a perfect one. Begovic (Stoke goalkeeper) was very close, striker's ball control was not full, so yellow card would be enough.

was near to perfection. Foul detection was brilliant and without any mistake by the main referee. It was only one mistake by assistant Rostkowski with corner kick at the first half. Maybe the Champions League next season with the current UEFA policy?
