Schalke

Their coach Steevens obviously did not think that it would be necessary to inset players like Raúl, Höwedes, Farfán or Holtby, four key players for Schalke. The first two players were not even in the roster, to "spare" them, as difficult matches will come up during the next weeks in Bundesliga. What happened? Kaasik

There was never a very good referee (or at least no one managed to join CL rosters etc.) in the Baltic states, so Mazeika and Kaasik are said to be promising hopes in this area. The first half confirmed that impression, he was very lenient, he really allowed a lot, perhaps even too much. But the second half? A lesson of bad arbitration. In Estonia, one obviously does not the advantage rule. Unbelievable..I stopped counting when Kaasik had missed the most obvious advantage situations, his assistant referee Leevand continued running one time with Farfán on the touchline as he thought his chief would allow the advantage, but he had whistled a foul 70 metres away from the opposite goal..the longer the matches lasted, the worse his foul detection became. Every contact was a foul in the end, finally, he also disappointed me because this is neither CL nor EL level.

Some polemics..

Unprofessional, that is a suitable title in my opinion. Why? Because Schalke's substitutes and assistant coach had to help the fourth official with the correct typing of substitute players' numbers. One time, he upheld the number 2 and Kaasik looked for a number 2 in the pitch, however, the number 2 was Schalke's substitute who stood 1 metre next to the fourth official Roomer Tarajev. Moreover, there were 4 big injuries, so that the fourth official awarded 5 minutes of added time, definitely too less, therefore Kaasik made us the gift of about 7 or 8 minutes. Even the main ref did not care what his fourth official did..poor. One time, a Larnaca player jumped from the litter and provocated the crowd, this waste of time continued during the next minutes so that Kaasik showed the only two cards of the match for...exactly, waste of time.
