Good perfomance. Although he missed more than only one foul, he had a clear line in his card policy, the assistant referees made a good job as well. We know the Scot as pedantic referee, yesterday he was not, but lenient either. Is this referee ready for Poland/Ukraine? In my opinion, yes. The fact that there is another Scot in ED, Collum, is a good argument for Thomson. His perfomances were overall ok, not always good, perhaps also because of his very fussy style. Everybody says in Bundesliga, when a referee dismisses a player for a serious foul, that "on the Island" this would not have been even a yellow..referees like Thomson or Atkinson show that it is different, they are even more pedantic than other referees in Europe.
