1st

Kassai started the game the way he always does: he avoided using the whistle as often he could. But this made some players unhappy. Why? two reasons: 1) Kassai missed some fouls (as usual) and 2) mainly in the first 15min he took 1/2 sec to whistle a foul...sometimes the players looked at him and then he called the offense. However in first half he did a good job. In my opinion just missed a YC to Witsel (16')

2nd

In the second half he had some more work to do. He entered more active, calling players' attention in some harder tackles. During this half Kassai did an ok job. The hardest period of the game were the last 10 min (86-96). The second yellow to Emerson for me at first seemed to be harsh, but he stopped the opponent in a reasonable attacking move.
Later the case of the game. He sent-off Benfica's coach because protests against his decision of punishing Shaqiri with a YC and not a RC. In my opinion Kassai did the wright thing because what happened was a unsportive bahavior and not agression.

general performance

Kassai's team was not really challenged today. They didn't have big calls to judge, both line and goal line assistants had a good evening.
After this match I keep my old image for the Hungarian. He is a good referee, not great. He accomplished many things already but in tougher moments Kassai is not enough.
