Pedro Proença...

Referee Pedro Proenca Oliveira Alves Garcia demonstrated tonight how it should be tried. The point of successful trials is to identify the nature of the match and choose the tactics of the trial accordingly. Mr. Proenca had chosen a very good trial (refereeing) tactics: where a foul had a uniform criterion, as well as the players, and the parts of the soccer field. He had very well differed starts on the ball and the opponent. He avoided unnecessarily interrupting of the game, but allowed its full development and dynamics. He showed that he has a feeling for the game, and also that he knows how to distinguish what is the advantage and what the possession the ball. He released several excellent advantages! Several times after a failed advantage, he returned the ball to the original foul. His interpretation of Law 12 is consistent with the epithet TOP! Mr. Proenca is very meticulous. The ball has always been the location of the violation, a " defensive wall " at the proper distance of 9.15 m. The application of disciplinary measures was accurate and consistent. Excellent movement skills, and easy change of the rhythm of movement from jogging to sprinting. With its accurate and precise decisions he enjoyed the respect of all players.

Teamwork

Portuguese referee crew was operating synchronously, except in one situation, when properly assigned a throw Proenca to Italy, although the AR1 (Jose Tiago Garcias Bolinhas Trigo) showed a throw to Serbia. The only "controversial" decision is linked with Serbian score. Offside or not? Subotic was closest to the opposing transverse line (offside-position), Ivanovic was not - that's obvious! Very, very complicated situation. Did Subotic by his location obstruct Buffon, and was there an offence of the Law 11???!!! AR1 did not consider Proenca, who was very close â
