Perfomance

Let us start with the negative aspects this time (it is better to start with them in this case..): Kassai was physically in the pitch. Mentally? No. The most important or wrongest decisions were the penalties, underneath, there is a seperate paragraph for that..he certainly had a leak of concentration during the whole 90 minutes, the general calls in the midfield were however good. His assistant referee Ring showed again an outstanding perfomance, he saw everything correct, the second goal was very close offside. There was one very close situation in minute 20 or something like that, very very close with contrary movements, the situation led to a 100% goal attempt for Bayern, it was same level, very well seen by Gyorgyi Ring. 3 of the 4 yellows were ok, one a bit harsh. Control and authority were never problems.

Penalties

4 situations. 1st: In the 3rd minute, David Silva was clearly fouled by Boateng (former Man City defender, everyone knows the story..). Kassai had free view, he must see that, in the real pace/angle, one could easily detect a foul, Kassai was not able to do that as well. 2nd: Again Boateng..this time he fouled Micah Richards, another clear foul, there was certainly a need to whistle this penalty. There is one thing that makes me angry: Tamás Bognar, the ADD-ASS-REF 1, was 5 metres away, has he no courage to make a signal or did not he see it either?! Both opportunities are not good at all. 3rd: Ribery was fouled. Kompany blocked Ribery without ball in the box. To my mind, this should have been a penalty, too..but finally, this is the only situation one can discuss about, the other two were clear..4th: good decision, it was no deliberate handball by a Citizen in the box.

Neutrality..

I am sure that Kassai is neutral, as all the referees should be or are. Neutrality is perhaps not the best expression for what I would call: the decisions' impact on the outcome of a match. Man City were the better team until the 30th minute, if you imagine that Kassai could have awarded just one of the two clear penalties to City, the English would have certainly led in the early stages of the match. But what happened then? Hart, who is actually a good keeper and who showed many good safes yesterday, seemed to be the unlucky guy when Gomez scored. By the way: if this is the final arena, I would ask the Bavarians to take their "operetta-atmosphere" away and start procuding an atmosphere which is "champions-like".
