We need to say that Aytekin didn't have much work to do in Birmingham yesterday. He was very discrete and prudent in the disciplinary measures, missing just one YC situation. Foul detection was good, with some minor mistakes, but nothing serious. I believe he needs to improve the way he deals with players and his position in the field was a bit strange in some occasions (probably not 100% familiarized with the 6 ref team).
The assistants Christoph Bornhorst and Holger Henschel had some work to do, regarding off-side situations. In the end, one situation wrong, but to more important, Braga's 2nd and Birmingham's 1st goals, were correct calls by both assistants.
this was one of those games we did not need a referee.
