Very good Arias (written by croref)

Style

Let's start with his style. He is a bit theatrical and looks like a robot in some moments but I think it is very effective. With his gestures he looks authoritative, especially with young players on this tournament. It helped him to control this match and he had no problems with it. In few situations he even wanted players to watch him in his eyes while he was talking to them, or showing them cards. All in all, I'm not a fan of his style but it is very effective.

Calls

No problems with this. Foul detection very good, he saw everything correct, maybe few minor mistakes but nothing important. Advantage rule good. Few dive-in situations, the most important and most difficult in 32nd minute when he gave Smith yellow for diving. Even it looked very doubtful, I would say his decision was correct. All cards correctly given. Assistants had some difficult offside situations but they did well in my opinion, maybe one mistake but I'm still not sure, very hard to see. Nothing more to say, very good performance by Arias, probably waiting for his fifth match, maybe the final.
