Croatia u20 2 - 5 Nigeria u20
WC 2011 u20 group stage · 2011-08-03 Referee: Dario Ubriaco

89th minute (written by croref)

89th minute..

roatian Mario Ticinovic made a brutal foul on Nigerian Kayode, at first moment I thought he broke his leg. It must be red card but Ticinovic didn't even get a yellow, and it would be his second. If you ask me, I think Ubriaco didn't see the situation well, there is no other explanation for not giving Ticinovic a red card.

Until 89th minute

The rest of the match was very good. He controlled the match all 90 minutes there was no problem with that. In 36th minute Croatian Renato Kelic get the yellow card for gesturing on Ubriaco's decision. After that no one complained on his decisions. Foul detection excellent, I couldn't find a mistake there. Ha gave three yellow cards to Croatia, all were correct. First one to Kelic for protesting on his decision, then Ticinovic for tripping Nigerian player and Zvonko Pamic for careless foul. Assistant referees were very good. Two correct not-offside situations for ARs before first Nigerian and firs Croatian goal.

Throw-Ins

In first half Ubriaco was excellent, it was very hard to find a mistake so I started to look for details and I found it. I counted five incorrect throw ins by Nigerian players. Rules of the game says: "The thrower has part of each foot either on the touch line or on the ground outside the touch line". All five times Nigerian player had his leg in the air, so it was not correct.
