Pezzotta did it very well

Gremio´s stadium was full with more than 45.000 fans, but this didn´t mean that Pezzotta left neutrality at home. He did another very good performance, always near the action and in total control, perfectly helped by his assistants. He didn´t tolerate any trickery (booking players is often a nice way to stop those kind of disgusting things), and let the play run when he could. The penalty conceded to Gremio was more than correct. Tcheco scored from it, and then Carlos Eduardo scored a nice goal taking advantage of a huge mistake in the Santos defense.

Gremio, strong at home

The match could have been much more interesting, as it was played by two Brazilian teams. I saw a really weak performance of Santos FC, with players that showed big mistakes defending, and poor ideas attacking. Gremio did it all much faster: Goiano, Gavilan and Souza got control of the ball and always tried to hurt Santos weak last line. The match could have ended with a bigger difference, but ...

... Santos is still alive

This is true, but they will have to improve a lot if they want to be in the Final. Next week, they will play in Santos and it could be different. For this, they should change a lot of things. The first one: if you want to win, you need to demonstrate during the game.
