Having played 2 matches in this Cup, Argentina really seems to need big help, but not from referees. Argentina needs an idea of what to do inside the field, of how to get advantage from Messi, Higuaín, Tevez and the rest of their great players. Argentina needs to have a coach who knows what he wants from his team...

Huge mistake

Well, maybe that´s why Fagundes tried to help. The biggest mistake was a huge penalty that he didn´t concede for Colombia during the first half, when Ramos was about to score against Romero, and Burdisso knocked him down. It should have been penalty and red card for Burdisso, but Fagundes didn´t whistle. But then the ball was immediately received by Moreno, who kicked to the free goal and missed it. Fagundes didn´t concede the penalty, but neither conceded the advantage because if so, he had sent Burdisso off (The advantage in these kind of situations would have been also very debatable). The referee didn´t do anything.

Fagundes was managing things pretty well, but after that big mistake, he felt less secure. He started mistaking little calls, and having an inconsistent booking standard. Mascherano made at least 8 fouls, which means he should have seen a first and then a second yellow card for repeatedly fouling. He missed 2 or 3 more yellows. And Argentina should have ended the game with only 9 players - Mascherano and Burdisso - .
