The one thing that makes referees feel great is an advantage call and it feels even better when a goal is scored from it. Well, that's exactly what happened during Mexico's second goal of the match.
Some referees might have said it's already 4-0 and I'm not going to call a penalty for the team that's already winning by big margins (we've seen this many times) but this referee was there to do his job. He didn't just call a penalty but he gave the player from El Salvador a red card which was absolutely right.
The officials had a good start to the tournament and I hope it continues during the entire length of the tournament.
